Kingspan Kooltherm Insulation Boards

Kingspan Kooltherm is Kingspan’s most advanced insulation range, offering some of the lowest thermal conductivities available—typically as low as 0.018 W/m·K. Manufactured from rigid phenolic foam, Kooltherm boards deliver exceptional thermal performance with thinner profiles, making them ideal for space-saving construction where U-value targets must be met without increasing wall or floor build-ups.

Kooltherm is suitable for use in walls, floors, roofs, and soffits, and meets or exceeds Part L requirements of the Building Regulations. Each board is CFC/HCFC-free, has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP), and achieves a Class 0 fire rating on both sides.

Kooltherm K103 Floorboard

• Designed for insulating solid and suspended ground floors

• Typically installed below screed or above a concrete slab

• Features a low emissivity foil facing on both sides for enhanced thermal resistance

• Thermal conductivity: 0.018 W/m·K

• Available in thicknesses from 25mm to 150mm

Kooltherm K106 Cavity Board (Partial Fill)

• Ideal for partial-fill masonry cavity wall insulation

• Water-resistant facing to repel moisture from outer leaf

• Narrower board depth allows air gap retention while meeting U-value targets

• Tongue-and-groove edges for tight jointing and reduced thermal bridging

• Full-fill insulation solution for masonry cavity walls

• Moisture-tolerant and fully fills the cavity without compromising wall integrity

Kooltherm K110 Soffit Board

• High-performance insulation for concrete soffits and structural ceilings

• Suitable for applications such as car parks, basements, and exposed ceilings

• Has a high compressive strength and provides robust fire performance

• Can be installed directly to concrete decks using mechanical fixings or adhesives

Kooltherm K118 Insulated Plasterboard

• Two-in-one solution combining phenolic insulation with 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard

• Ideal for internal solid wall insulation or retrofit upgrades

• Reduces thermal bridging and installation time with one fixed panel

• Includes a vapour control layer for moisture protection

• Thermal conductivity: 0.019 W/m·K

Kooltherm K107 Pitched Roof Board

• Designed for pitched roof insulation at rafter or over-rafter level

• Lightweight board that provides excellent thermal performance in constrained roof voids

• Can be installed under tiles or slates, with or without a ventilation layer depending on the roof design

• Application: Timber and steel-framed wall systems

• Facing: Low emissivity foil on both sides

• Fits between studs in framed walls to improve overall U-values

• Lightweight, easy to cut, and suitable for dry-lining

• Popular in both new build and retrofit timber frame applications

• Application: External wall insulation (EWI) systems

• Facing: Water-resistant glass tissue facing
