XPS Insulation Boards

XPS stands for extruded polystyrene, which is a rigid foam insulation board made from a closed cell structure. Polystyrene pellets are melted and the liquid is extruded through a die, as it exits it is expanded and then cooled making the insulation board. The closed cell structure gives it a high compressive strength, makes it a great insulator and  provides excellent moisture resistance. Insulation UK offers the Kingspan Greenguard and the Ravatherm XPS ranges.

Kingspan Greenguard 

This XPS insulation board offers thermal conductivity as low as 0.033 W/mK. This high performance insulation is used predominantly in more industrial settings, such as car park decks, industrial and cold store flooring inverted roofs and basements. With these XPS insulation boards there is minimal moisture penetration and they are unaffected by air filtration. 

Ravatherm XPS

This insulation board is ideal for floors both domestic and industrial due to it's high compressive strength. Ravatherm XPS is moisture resistant, which protects the waterproofing membrane and shields it from the elements in inverted, green and blue roof applications. These XPS insulation boards can also be used in basements and cellar perimeter walls as below damp proof course level in cavity walls.
