Product Description
Product Description
Cellecta YELOfon HD10+ System is a complete acoustic resilient layer package designed to isolate a floating screed from a structural concrete floor. Built from closed cell polyethylene foam, it's laid beneath sand and cement or free-flowing proprietary screeds wherever impact and airborne noise transmission between floors needs controlling, from separating floors in apartment blocks to offices, hotels and hospitals.
Supplied as a full kit:
- 1.5m x 33.33m roll of YELOfon HD10+ (10mm thick, covering 50m²)
- YELOfon E-Strip perimeter edging (7mm x 200mm x 33.33m)
- 2x YELOfon J-Strip acoustic jointing tape (2.5mm x 75mm x 40m)
All three components share a thermal conductivity of 0.045 W/mK and long term water absorption of under 5% after 28 days, and the complete system pack weighs 20.5kg, a strong balance of acoustic performance and practical handling on site.
At the heart of the system is that closed cell polyethylene construction, which Cellecta positions as the UK's No.1 high performance under screed resilient layer, with over 10,000,000m² installed across UK floors to date. That scale of use sits alongside compliance with three proprietary Robust Details: E-FC-5 and E-FC-17 for separating floors on a pre-cast concrete plank, and E-FC-18-A for separating floors on an in-situ concrete slab. The Robust Details scheme itself exists as an alternative to pre-completion testing for satisfying Part E of the Building Regulations, so specifying a Robust Detail-compliant system gives a recognised route to demonstrating acoustic performance.
YELOfon HD10+ System is installed by fitting YELOfon E-Strip around the room perimeter first, with the bottom 60mm flange sitting on the floor, then rolling out YELOfon HD10+ over the flange with a minimum 40mm overlap and sealing every joint with YELOfon J-Strip, in line with Cellecta's installation guidance. Where two rolls of HD10+ meet, a minimum 150mm overlap is required. It suits both sand and cement and free-flowing proprietary screeds, and can be used in conjunction with underfloor heating systems when installed per the manufacturer's method. Suitable for residential and commercial projects, new build and refurbishment alike, it gives specifiers and contractors a proven, repeatable way to isolate a floating screed and keep noise complaints off the snagging list.
Key Benefits of Cellecta YELOfon HD10+ System:
- Complete acoustic resilient layer system: 1 x YELOfon HD10+ roll, 1 x YELOfon E-Strip and 2 x YELOfon J-Strip supplied together as standard, so nothing extra needs sourcing.
- Positioned by Cellecta as the UK's No.1 high performance under screed resilient layer, with over 10,000,000m² successfully installed.
- Compliant with three proprietary Robust Details: E-FC-5, E-FC-17 and E-FC-18-A.
- Closed cell polyethylene construction across all three components, each with a thermal conductivity of 0.045 W/mK.
- 10mm resilient layer roll covering 50m² per system, supplied at 1.5m x 33.33m.
- YELOfon E-Strip perimeter edging (7mm x 200mm x 33.33m) and YELOfon J-Strip jointing tape (2.5mm x 75mm x 40m) included for a complete perimeter and joint seal.
- Long term water absorption below 5% after 28 days across the resilient layer, edge strip and jointing tape.
- Lightweight and straightforward to cut, handle and install: complete system pack weighs 20.5kg.
- Suitable for use under sand and cement screeds and free-flowing proprietary screeds.
- Compatible with underfloor heating systems when installed to Cellecta's guidance.
Good to know:
- Install order matters: fit YELOfon E-Strip around the room perimeter first, with the bottom 60mm flange sitting on the floor, before rolling out YELOfon HD10+ over it.
- Overlaps aren't optional: allow a minimum 40mm overlap where HD10+ meets the E-Strip flange, and a minimum 150mm overlap where two HD10+ rolls join, with every joint sealed using J-Strip.
- All three components must go in together: Robust Detail compliance (E-FC-5, E-FC-17, E-FC-18-A) only applies when the HD10+ roll, E-Strip and J-Strip are all installed as a complete system, not the resilient layer alone.
- For free-flowing proprietary screeds, HD10+ can be tightly butt-jointed and taped with J-Strip, though Cellecta advises covering it with a minimum 500-gauge polythene sheet, taping all joints and lapping 150mm around the perimeter.
- Where used with underfloor heating, take care that UFH clips do not penetrate the HD10+ layer.
- Store inside on a pallet in water-tight, dry, flat and level conditions, and don't double stack.
For anyone specifying or installing a floating screed where noise control genuinely matters, YELOfon HD10+ System takes the guesswork out of getting there: everything needed is in the pack, the performance is proven at scale, and the result is a quieter, more comfortable floor built on a system contractors already trust.

Thermal performance helps show how effectively the product reduces heat transfer.
Thermal conductivity measures how readily heat passes through the material, so lower figures generally indicate better insulating performance.
R Value shows the material’s thermal resistance at that thickness, so higher figures generally mean stronger insulation performance.
These figures relate to the insulation product itself and should be considered alongside the full wall, roof or floor build-up when checking project requirements.
- Thermal Conductivity:
- 0.045 W/mK
