Rockwool RWA45 100mm has been developed for thermal, acoustic and fire performance in a range of construction types. Rockwool RWA45 100mm is made up of high-quality resin bonded slabs in a variety of thicknesses and densities. Specialist facings are available to order to meet the specifications of unique projects.
Rockwool RWA45 100mm can be applied to an array of general building applications for acoustic and thermal insulation of partition walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs. The multi-use solution is well suited for easy application throughout constructions.
Rockwool RWA45 100mm is rated Euroclass A1 non-combustible, providing the highest level of fire performance. Rockwool RWA45 100mm in ceilings, walls and floors can help to compartmentalise rooms, reducing fire spread and damage. Rockwool RWA45 100mm insulation slabs achieve Lambda 0.035 W/mK and have a density of 45 kg/m3.
Thermal
Rockwool RW45 100mm has a thermal conductivity of just 0.035W/mK. The thermal conductivity means less heat will pass through the insulation slabs, keeping internal temperatures level. The thermal properties of the Rockwool RWA45 100mm will also prevent heat / energy escaping the building and save money on energy bills. Less energy escaping will also create a more energy efficient property.
Fire
Rockwool RW45 100mm, either un-faced or with an aluminium foil or glass fleece on one or both surfaces, achieve an A1 classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 and therefore comply with the requirements of non-combustible materials/products, as defined in all UK and Ireland Building Regulations.
Acoustic performance
Rockwool RW45 100mm products work in two distinct ways to reduce noise, either by impeding the transmission of sound through an element of the structure or by absorption of sound at the surface. The structure of the fibres in Rockwool RWA45 100mm make them ideal for use as a sound absorber.
